Disclaimer I fully recognize that WikiPedia is NOT an academic source of information. For the purpose of this article, I am simply linking to articles that explain the terms being talked about.
One of the issues I find is where to start. There are lots of projects, so I have put some links below to help people find a potential project to get involved with.

Research is also very important, sites such as [[Access to research | https://accesstoresearch.org.uk/]] could be a good place to start, being able to read up on what is currently happening is also useful.
- https://www.arxiv.org? is also a good place to get an idea of current, cutting edge research.
Understanding the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer_review? process is also very important, and I have a few books from the [Peer recognized | https://peerrecognized.com/]] series which is also a good place to perhaps start if you want to write up your research or even propose a research topic.
Hopefully being part of the ShellLabs Community we can share our own experiences and information, collaborate on projects and make some really positive contributions to science, as well as inspiring others and providing a safe space for this.
